Because we knew that that tension was something that going to be at the heart of the final episode, that Sarah would in some ways be resisting the idea that Chuck has all the emotional answers. But the moment she asks, "Tell me the story," she's saying that emotionally she's beginning to feel this connection, and I think that moment and that final kiss, the more important part of it is not the fact that she remembers everything, it's the fact that she feels it. For us, that emotional memory was the 'a-ha' moment.
